Top 10 Perfect Day at CocoCay hacks, tips and tricks.

It’s no wonder Perfect Day at CocoCay has stirred up a lot of positive PR buzz in the last year. Now Our blog visits the island and brings our readers the best hacks, tips and tricks while exploring Perfect Day at CocoCay.

10. Voom Internet

RCCL could not have created this magnificent experience without bringing its amazing internet technology along for the ride. Thats right, If you purchase an internet package from Royal Caribbean it will work on Perfect Day at CocoCay. Not only will it work but it even outperforms the service from the ships by almost double in our tests.

In fact we wrote and posted most of this blog article right from the island, no other cruise ship island offers internet so this is a huge plus for us, especially because of field of work that we do.

9. Want to RELAX……… CHILL ISLAND

Unknown-5.jpeg

Perfect Day at CocoCay can handle up to 10,000 cruisers at a time, with 2 ships docked of course. It’s rare but it does happen. However any day at Perfect Day can be noisy, so we reckoned you head on over to the aptly named “chill island” to avoid most of the screaming kids.

RCCL is also installing some really cool “Fiji style” over water cabanas that debut late 2019. Caution to the wise, these cabanas will set you back $900-$1600 a pop so be prepared for sticker shock.

8.  Skip the Zip

Unknown-7.jpeg

As much as we all loved Perfect Day at CocoCay, the one thing we found lacking was the zip line. Obviously RCCL is known for their famous “Dragons Breath Flight Line” In Labadee Haiti which is a half a mile long and starts you out over 500 feet high. This zip line is only 1600 feet long with heights only 50-75 feet high. The views are also much better in Haiti and they almost share the same price.

7. Free “TRAMSpartation”

Trams are abundant all over the island and even though I am a big fitness buff and love my cardio, my advice is to take these trams as much as possible. Perfect Day at CocoCay is a big big big island and you will not gain weight here so tram it up if you can.

6. Free Dining Options

The dining options are diverse and abundant on this heavenly island and are all free so don’t worry about sneaking off that hot dog from the ship. The dining options include:

  • Splashaway Bay

  • Captain Jill's Galleon

  • Skipper's Grill

  • Chill Grill

  • Snack Shack

5. Purchase Ahead

Even before you step foot on the island, I recommend purchasing your planned attractions in advance. My “Thrill Water park” pass went from $23.99 to $29.99 to over $40.00 on the ship. I did not purchase anything else in advance and regret it dearly as I could have saved over $100.00 more

4. Best times to go

3. Best times to Slide

Unknown-9.jpeg

So as unpredictable as crowds can be I can tell you that the lines for the slides were shortest before 11am and after 2:30 pm. Please note that when I visited I was on the Navigator Of the seas which accomadates 3835 people so I can’t tell you what it is like when Harmony of the seas pulls up with 5200 people or how its going to be on November 28th 2019 when both Mariner of the seas and Anthem of the seas dock there with a combined passenger count of over 8000 Passengers.

2. What do I bring to the island?

Well as I recently wrote about the Top Ten Cruising Accessories, Some of those Items on their made the list. I recommend bringing the following.

1. Drink package’s works at Perfect Day at CocoCay

This is not new but is everyones favorite, If you purchase any beverage package, The same rules apply as on the ship in Perfect Day at CocoCay. That alone is a great savings, I can spend $50-$70 in Nassau on beers alone so this is actually a great savings.
